Electroplating Tank Manufacturer: Methods for Preventing Acid Mist in Pickling Tank Design

During the pickling process, the heated pickling solution generates acid mist. To ensure a safe and environmentally friendly production environment, structural measures for mist prevention and spill control must be incorporated from the initial tank design stage. The following points outline the anti-acid-mist measures designed for the tank body:

  (1) The pickling process and the two subsequent operations shall be arranged as a pickling branch line, located in an auxiliary room. The auxiliary room shall be designed as a pickling shed. The interior wall panels of the auxiliary room shall be made of 6-mm-thick PP plastic sheets. All steel plates in the walkways within the auxiliary room shall be coated with 3-mm-thick fiberglass reinforced plastic to prevent acid corrosion.

  (2) At the inlet and outlet of the workpieces in the pickling tank, install shaped doorways and an air curtain system to minimize the escape of acid mist from the pickling tank.

  (3) Install a ventilation system at the inlet and outlet of the pickling branch line to prevent acidic gases from the pickling booth from leaking into the main-line equipment.

  (4) Acid-washing exhaust gas is neutralized and purified in an acid mist scrubbing tower before being discharged.

  (5) Select corrosion-resistant measures for the horizontal tracks and uphill/downhill sections of the pickling tank conveyor to prevent acid mist from corroding the conveyor.

Electroplating tank manufacturer: Equipment cleaning after use of pickling tanks

After metal is pickled in the pickling tank, the equipment requires subsequent treatment. Some acidic substances still remain inside the tank and need to be neutralized before cleaning. If there’s water left in the tank, the painting effect will be poor and unfavorable for painting.

After cleaning, the fuel tank needs to be dried thoroughly, then coated with rust-preventive oil, and finally its integrity must be ensured.

Oiling is a surface treatment primarily aimed at removing corrosive agents. Pickling removes oxide scale and loose rust, while neutralization adjusts the pH level. After boring, the raw metal material itself is reduced, allowing the anti-rust oil to fully exert its effectiveness. Otherwise, if there’s still another medium between the metal and the oil, oxygen concentration cell corrosion is likely to occur. Of course, acid neutralization poses an even greater corrosive risk.

Electroplating Tank Manufacturer: Operating Principle of PP Spray Towers

A PP spray tower utilizes the contact between gas and liquid to transfer pollutants from the gas into the liquid, and then separates the clean gas from the contaminated liquid, thereby achieving the purpose of purifying exhaust gases.

The exhaust gas is passed through a packed acid mist scrubber for countercurrent gas-liquid absorption. In this process, the liquid is sprayed downward from the top of the tower in a misty form (or as small droplets), while the exhaust gas flows upward from the bottom of the tower, thereby achieving gas-liquid contact. This treatment not only cools the exhaust gas and removes particulates but also eliminates the mist. After being treated in the demisting section, the exhaust gas is then released into the atmosphere.

The PP spray tower features a robust welded structure that ensures excellent product sealing. Its structural design is well-optimized, and its manufacturing process is standardized. The equipment boasts a high purification rate, utilizes premium-grade PP materials, and offers exceptional resistance to corrosion, weathering, and flame retardancy, guaranteeing a long service life.

That’s all for today’s introduction from our electroplating tank manufacturer. Thank you for watching! If you’re in need of electroplating tanks, spray towers, or exhaust gas treatment equipment, feel free to contact our company.

Application Case of Ammonia-Nitrogen Treatment Towers in the Electroplating Industry

Application Cases of Ammonia-Nitrogen Treatment Towers in the Electroplating Industry In the electroplating industry, environmental protection and wastewater treatment have been receiving increasing attention. Wastewater generated during electroplating processes often contains high levels of ammonia nitrogen, posing a potential threat to aquatic environments and ecosystems. Therefore, effectively treating ammonia nitrogen has become an urgent issue that the industry must address. The ammonia-nitrogen treatment tower—a newly emerging technological device—holds the key to solving this problem. What is an Ammonia-Nitrogen Treatment Tower? An ammonia-nitrogen treatment tower is a specially designed piece of equipment used to remove ammonia nitrogen from wastewater. Its working principle relies on physical and chemical reactions that convert ammonia nitrogen in the wastewater into harmless substances, thereby achieving the goal of water purification. Simply put, it acts like a “purifier” specifically designed to tackle the common ammonia-nitrogen pollution found in the electroplating industry. Why Does the Electroplating Industry Need Ammonia-Nitrogen Treatment Towers? You might ask: Why is the electroplating industry so reliant on ammonia-nitrogen treatment towers? First, the chemicals used in electroplating production—especially those employed during cleaning and plating processes—generate ammonia nitrogen. If these pollutants are discharged directly into the environment without treatment, they will inevitably cause severe contamination of nearby water bodies, degrade water quality, and even deal a devastating blow to ecosystems. Second, many countries and regions have stringent regulations regarding industrial wastewater.

A Basic Overview of Centrifugal Fans in Hunan First, what exactly is a centrifugal fan? Simply put, a centrifugal fan is a mechanical device that uses a rotating impeller to push gas from a low-pressure area into a high-pressure area. It’s widely used across various industries, including ventilation, dust removal, and air conditioning. For the environmental protection sector, the role of centrifugal fans is even more indispensable, as they can effectively control industrial emissions and ensure that companies comply with environmental standards during production. Growing Market Demand In recent years, as the nation has placed greater emphasis on environmental protection policies, demand for centrifugal fans in Hunan has also been steadily rising. You might ask, “What does this have to do with me?” Actually, the applications of centrifugal fans aren’t limited to large-scale industrial settings—indeed, we encounter them in our daily lives too, such as in air conditioners and household ventilation systems. In today’s era of stringent environmental regulations,

How to choose the right centrifugal fan for the Hunan region?

How to Choose the Right Centrifugal Fan for Hunan? In Hunan—a vibrant region bustling with diverse industrial and commercial activities—centrifugal fans play a crucial role as essential equipment, handling vital tasks such as ventilation and exhaust. So, how can you find the right centrifugal fan for Hunan’s unique environment amid a dazzling array of options? Today, we’ll dive into this very topic. First, let’s understand the basic principle behind centrifugal fans. Simply put, a centrifugal fan works by using a rotating impeller to draw air in and then expel it at high velocity. It’s somewhat similar to how your hand pushes water aside when you stir it—you create a force that allows the air to flow smoothly through ducts. This type of equipment is widely used in industries, agriculture, and even households. Before selecting a centrifugal fan for Hunan, the first step is to clearly define your working environment and specific needs. Are you going to use it in a high-temperature, high-humidity setting, or in a relatively dry location?
