I. Equipment Overview

　　The SJT acid mist purification device is an efficient, energy-saving, and practical environmental protection equipment that our factory has developed over many years through continuous improvement and innovation. It is suitable for acid pickling processes involving various materials and can effectively remove water-soluble gases generated during these processes, including acid mist (H2SO4), hydrogen chloride (HCl) gas, hydrogen fluoride (HF) gas, chromic acid mist (CrO3), hydrogen cyanide (HCN) gas, hydrogen sulfide (H2S), ammonia (NH3), and alkaline vapor—achieving a purification efficiency of over 95%.

　　According to your company, the main components of the exhaust gas generated from the sintering of coated sand are dust particles. However, these dust particles also contain gases such as carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, small amounts of sulfur dioxide, hydrogen, nitrogen oxides, and some formaldehyde. Our company employs a three-stage water-membrane dust removal system, followed by neutralization treatment using an industrial eco-friendly plant additive sprayed with water. Finally, the exhaust gas is further treated through an activated carbon adsorption unit. The entire casing is made of polypropylene. The main unit is equipped with pressure distribution pipes, perforated disc-type sprayers, and a packing layer, ensuring thorough gas-liquid contact. As a result, the purified exhaust gas significantly meets national emission standards. Moreover, the equipment is easy to operate, convenient for installation and maintenance, highly durable, long-lasting, and occupies a small footprint. It is currently an ideal device for the purification and neutralization of exhaust gases containing dust particles along with carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, hydrogen, nitrogen oxides, and formaldehyde. The treated exhaust gas complies with the "Comprehensive Emission Standard for Air Pollutants (GB16297-1996)."

II. Structure

　　The complete purification equipment consists of a square water-membrane tower, a circular neutralization tower, and a square activated carbon unit, all connected in a continuous, cyclic process. The equipment is entirely made of polypropylene material and assembled in sections via flanged connections. Its specific structure comprises an air-inlet section, a water-membrane liquid storage tank, a primary spray section, a swirl plate, an activated carbon unit, and a chimney. This equipment boasts advantages such as high efficiency, strong corrosion resistance, high strength, low noise, energy savings, compact size, convenient disassembly, maintenance, and repair, as well as being lightweight, durable, and aesthetically pleasing.

III. Working Principle and Process Flow

　　The front end of the equipment employs a three-stage water film system to progressively remove dust. The water film washes away particulate matter from the exhaust gases that have been collected. The exhaust gases are then forced by a fan into the inner cylinder of the neutralization tower, creating a pressurized chamber. From this chamber, the neutralizing liquid is evenly distributed through each spray nozzle, allowing the exhaust gases to come into full contact with the liquid. The gases then flow upward, passing through a filter media layer where they react with the neutralizing liquid sprayed from the nozzles. After absorption, the exhaust gases continue to flow backward into an activated carbon unit, where they undergo another round of adsorption. Finally, the treated gases are discharged into the atmosphere via the exhaust duct and chimney.

IV. Installation and Usage Precautions

1. This equipment should be installed on a concrete foundation that is at least 100 mm above the ground level; the pump and fan, respectively, should have their own concrete foundations as required.

2. During lifting, transportation, and installation, care must be taken to protect the equipment; do not allow any damage to the equipment’s exterior casing or components.

3. Before starting the equipment, check the rotation direction of the fan, the (condenser cooling water), the spray system, and the sealing condition of each component. Only after confirming that all conditions are normal can you start the equipment.

4. Other accessories, such as plastic pipe fittings, valves, fixed supports, inspection ladders, etc., can be customized by the user when placing an order.

5. The water in the water film tower and the solution in the neutralization tower must be treated regularly (approximately every 15 working days). The aqueous solutions must be properly treated before being discharged to prevent secondary contamination.

6. The activated carbon in the activated carbon unit must have its moisture content checked periodically. Depending on the situation, it should be replaced approximately every 90 working days. The used, replaced activated carbon must be stored separately to prevent secondary contamination. Whenever possible, assign a dedicated person to manage it exclusively.

7. Before starting the circulating water pump and the fan each day, check whether they are operating normally. First, turn on the circulating water pump, and only after confirming it’s working properly should you then start the fan.
