A basic piece of equipment in electroplating systems, its primary function is to hold the plating solution. Electroplating tank It can be used in a straightforward, linear manner following the manual craftsmanship process, or it can be arranged individually with electroplating based on the specific conditions and spatial layout of the site. In the case of a mechanically automated production line, the arrangement is generally guided by the process flow.

It is a basic auxiliary component in electroplating equipment.
Materials: Tanks made of titanium-plated material (resistant to corrosion by acidic and alkaline solutions), PP, PVC, PVDF, FRP tanks, stainless steel tanks, granite, and polytetrafluoroethylene (which can be used in any acid).
The electroplating tank is used to hold plating solutions for processes such as galvanizing, copper plating, nickel plating, and gold plating. The movable cathode electroplating tank consists of a steel tank lined with soft PVC plastic, a conductive device, steam heating tubes, and a cathode-moving mechanism. The tank body can also be made with a steel lining reinforced by rigid polyvinyl chloride; the choice of tank structure depends on the properties and temperature of the plating solution. The tank is driven by a motor, a reducer, an eccentric disc, connecting rods, and support roller wheels.
The main components of this tank include the tank body, solution heating and cooling devices, conductive devices, and stirring devices. Sometimes the tank itself directly holds the solution—for example, in a hot-water tank. At other times, the primary requirements for the inner lining substrate or framework—such as a steel tank—are leak-proofness as well as adequate rigidity and strength, to prevent excessive deformation of the tank that could damage the lining layer. The bottom of the steel tank should be raised 10 to 12 millimeters above the ground to protect it from severe corrosion.
Size Selection: Generally, the size of an electroplating tank refers to the volume (in liters) of the molten electrolyte contained within the tank’s cavity—that is, the depth of the molten electrolyte along the tank’s length and width. The appropriate tank size can typically be determined through calculations based on factors such as the required plating capacity or the specifications of existing DC power supply equipment. Selecting a suitably sized electroplating tank is crucial for developing growth plans, estimating production output, and ensuring high-quality electroplating results.
When determining the size of an electroplating tank, the following three basic conditions must be met:
1. Meet the electroplating requirements for the parts being processed; if the parts can be fully immersed, all surfaces must be electroplated.
2. Prevent overheating of the molten electrolyte;
3. It can maintain a certain stability in the content of molten electrolyte components throughout the electroplating production cycle.
Of course, at the same time, we must also take into account the overall coordination of the production line to meet the requirements for a rational layout of the electroplating workshop.
The materials used for lining electroplating tanks are determined by the properties of the molten electrolyte (such as corrosion resistance and temperature resistance). Commonly used materials include PVC, rigid (or flexible) polypropylene sheets, titanium plates, lead plates, and ceramics.
Electroplating tanks are typically rectangular, with widths ranging from 600 to 1000 mm and depths from 800 to 1200 mm. Electroplating tanks designed for extra-large or special parts should be custom-made.
Generally speaking, Electroplating tank The size refers to the volume (in liters) of the molten electrolyte within the plating tank cavity—that is, the depth of the molten electrolyte along the length and width of the tank. Typically, the appropriate size can be determined through calculations based on factors such as the plating capacity or the available DC power supply equipment. Selecting a suitably sized plating tank is crucial for developing growth plans, estimating production output, and ensuring plating quality.
