Electroplating Tank Manufacturer: The Working Principle of Spray Towers
When dust-laden or oil-containing exhaust gases pass through the spray tower, liquid media—such as certain alkaline solutions and some sulfuric acid solutions—are sprayed from appropriate locations within the tower (depending on the specific design). If the exhaust gas contains acidic substances, an alkaline solution is selected to neutralize the acidity; if the exhaust gas contains alkaline substances, a sulfuric acid solution is chosen for absorption. The specific selection of acid or alkaline solutions depends on the nature of the exhaust gas and the particular circumstances of the enterprise.
Waste gases containing neither acids nor bases but instead oils and dust can be treated by spraying them with a circulating aqueous solution. As the waste gas enters from the bottom of the tower, it comes into contact with the spray medium ejected from the spray nozzles. Upon contact, the waste gas or oily contaminants become enveloped by water droplets. The surface area of these droplets, which now encase the pollutants, increases once again, thereby enhancing their gravitational pull. Once the gravitational force becomes significant enough, the droplets encapsulating the contaminants will fall to the bottom of the spray tower under gravity. Heavier contaminants will settle at the bottom of the tower, while lighter contaminants will float on the surface of the circulating water.
Electroplating Tank Manufacturer: How do spray towers handle different types of exhaust gases?
A spray tower is a type of exhaust gas treatment equipment widely used in many factories—especially those with high volumes of exhaust emissions. You can find them in numerous industrial parks. However, different devices play varying roles in different exhaust gas treatment applications, which is why different manufacturers choose different types of equipment. So, when using a spray tower to treat different kinds of exhaust gases, what should we pay attention to? Let’s take a look together.
I. Handling of Combustible Gases:
1. When the spray tower discharges flammable gas from the gas cylinder, personnel should stand on the side opposite the gas outlet to prevent injury from the escaping gas.
2. When using combustion, a pressure-reducing valve should be installed to control the flow rate of the combustible gas, ensuring that gas E is released as slowly as possible and fully combusted in the combustion device.
3. For the discharge of flammable gases, if the emission volume is large, try to choose a location with fewer people. Be mindful that smoking and open flames are strictly prohibited in the surrounding area, and ensure that appropriate fire extinguishers, sand, and water are readily available.
II. Handling of Toxic Gases:
1. The absorbents and adsorbents used in spray towers for treating toxic gases must be confirmed to be effective before they can be put into use.
2. When handling toxic gases, personnel who are not involved in the handling work—such as those wearing gas masks, gloves, or other protective equipment unrelated to the task—are prohibited from entering the toxic gas handling area.
III. Handling of inert gases:
Although inert gases are not dangerous, a large accumulation of them can reduce the oxygen level in the surrounding air, leading to suffocation.
1. Discharge it to an appropriate outdoor location.
2. If the cylinder or instrument is located indoors, you can connect the exhaust pipe of the spray tower and route it outdoors for slow release.
