Custom spray tower manufacturer Let me introduce you to the precautions for using spray towers.
Precautions when using a spray tower:
A PP spray tower is a simple piece of equipment used for gas absorption. In a spray tower, the liquid serves as the dispersed phase, while the gas is the continuous phase; the gas-to-liquid ratio is typically low, making it suitable for absorption processes that involve extremely rapid or very fast chemical reactions.
The spray tower consists of an empty tower and a set of nozzles used for spraying liquid. Generally, the gas enters from the bottom of the tower, is evenly distributed by a gas distribution system, and then flows through the entire equipment. Meanwhile, the liquid is sprayed out from one or more nozzles. The gas and liquid droplets come into countercurrent contact, and the purified gas, after being de-misted, is discharged from the top of the tower.
The spray tower, an environmentally friendly piece of equipment, boasts several advantages: simple structure, low cost, small gas pressure drop, and resistance to clogging. It is currently widely used in wet desulfurization systems. A distinctive feature of the spray tower is that it is completely open—apart from the spray nozzles, it has no other internal components. The nozzles are the primary accessories of the spray tower, and they must be capable of delivering fine, uniform mist droplets to ensure the effective operation of the spray tower.
What precautions should be taken when using exhaust gas treatment equipment?
1. During use, promptly check the acid-base concentration in the absorbent liquid, and replace the absorbent liquid immediately if the acid concentration is found to be too high.
2. The area around the exhaust gas treatment equipment should be kept clean and sanitary.
3. Regularly check whether the spray nozzles inside the absorption tower are blocked. If any blockage is found, promptly clean or flush the tower.
4. The absorbent liquid in the scrubbing tower is replenished via the liquid addition tank. After the equipment starts operating, a portion of the liquid will enter the circulation system, and the liquid level will once again rise to the same height as the inlet port. During operation, it’s important to monitor the usage of the absorbent liquid closely. If you notice excessive consumption, promptly add more liquid. The absorbent liquid should be checked every 8 hours, and any shortages should be addressed immediately.
5. When the equipment stops running, stop the blower for 1-2 minutes, then stop the circulating water pump. After letting the circulating water pump run for 2-3 minutes, restart the blower.
What pollutants can a spray tower control?
1. Natural particulate pollutants are particulate pollutants that enter the atmospheric environment from natural sources, varying in intensity depending on natural conditions. Examples include volcanic eruptions, windblown dust, spontaneous combustion of coal seams in forest sediments, and plant pollen.
2. Living particulate pollutants are particulate pollutants released into the atmospheric environment as a result of meticulous human activities in daily life, such as cleaning, food preparation, burning for heating, and waste incineration.
3. Productive particulate pollutants are particulate pollutants released into the atmospheric environment during human production processes; they are commonly referred to as dust. In the course of production, many industrial sectors emit substantial quantities of these productive particulate pollutants, with power plant boilers, the metallurgical industry, and the building materials industry being particularly severe contributors.
