It is a basic supporting facility in electroplating equipment.
Material: titanium plating tank (corrosion resistance to acid and alkali solution), PP, PVC, PVDF, FRP tank, stainless steel tank, granite, polytetrafluoroethylene (can be used in any acid) and other tanks.
Electroplating tank is used to hold solution, for zinc plating, copper plating, nickel plating, gold plating, etc. The mobile cathode electroplating tank is composed of a steel tank lined with soft PVC plastic, a conductive device, a steam heating pipe and a cathode moving device. The tank can also be steel-lined UPVC. The selection of tank structure depends on the nature and temperature of the electroplating bath. It is composed of motor, reducer, eccentric disc, connecting rod and supporting rod roller.
The main components of the tank include tank body, solution heating and cooling device, conduction device and mixing device. Sometimes the tank body directly contains solution such as hot water tank, and sometimes the basic requirements for the lining matrix or framework such as steel tank body are no leakage and certain rigidity and strength to avoid damage to the lining layer caused by excessive deformation of the tank body; The bottom of the steel trough shall be 10~12mm higher than the ground to prevent serious corrosion.
Size setting: generally speaking, the size of the electroplating bath refers to the volume (L) of molten electrolyte in the electroplating bath cavity, that is, the width within the length of the electroplating bath and the depth of molten electrolyte. Generally, it can be calculated and selected according to electroplating processing capacity or existing DC power supply equipment. The selection of appropriate electroplating bath size is of great significance for formulating growth plans, estimating production and ensuring electroplating quality.
When determining the size of electroplating bath, the following three basic conditions need to be met:
1. Meet the electroplating requirements of the processed parts. If the parts can be completely immersed, all surfaces need to be plated;
2. Prevent molten electrolyte from overheating;
3. Be able to maintain certain stability of the content of molten electrolyte in the electroplating production cycle.
Of course, the overall coordination of the production line should be considered at the same time to meet the requirements of reasonable layout of the electroplating workshop.
The materials used for manufacturing electroplating bath lining are determined by the nature of molten electrolyte (corrosion resistance, temperature resistance, etc.), commonly used are PVC, polypropylene hard (soft) plate, titanium plate, lead plate, ceramics, etc.
The electroplating bath is generally rectangular, with a width of 600~1000 mm and a depth of 800~1200 mm. The electroplating bath for oversized or special parts used for electroplating shall be made separately.
